Day 19 (another note)

This is another note to Day 19. I started my period today, so no more shots until it is done. It will be interesting to see how I do hunger-wise. Also, it will be interesting to see how the diet affects the cramps and other by-products of this time of the month.

I weigh 192.0

Well, I have been very sick for the past week. Basically been sick since my last post. Some kind of flu bug or something. I ate what I could and what I thought would stay down for the most part. I definitely didn't drink as much water as I should have and I drank pop instead. The pop seemed to settle my stomach and water just made me feel sick. All in all it wasn't too bad in the losing weight department, as I am down a couple pounds, even though I wasn't following the diet to the letter. I did continue the shots every day.

I started feeling a bit better yesterday. Although, I didn't eat all that I should have, just an apple in the morning and a salad with chicken in the evening. I feel much better today and will do my best to drink all the water and do the diet correctly today.

Days 9, 10 and 11

Days 9, 10 and 11 January 30th, 31st and February 1st

Day 9 I weighed 194.2
Day 10 I weighed 195.8
Day 11 I weighed 195.6

I cheated. Yes, I ate food that is not on the approved list on Day 9, 10 and 11. Other than that its been okay. We went out on Tuesday and I didn't take any food with me, so I was very very very hungry and went to Arby's and had a roast beef sandwich. Wednesday I had a few peanuts at the end of the day and Thursday...well, Thursday was the baddest day. I ate pizza. Several pieces of pizza. I made sure each day that I drank the correct amount of water at least. Although on Thursday I drank twice as much as is suggested, probably over 120 ounces of water because of the salt from the pizza.

Today I am back on track and am only eating what is on the approved list. My blood sugar after eating lunch is 141. That is very exciting as it has not been down that far in probably several years.

Anyway, I am going to try really hard to stay on the diet more strictly now.

Day 8

Day 8 January 29 2008

I weigh 194.8 Blood sugar was 179 in the AM

Yesterday went well. Am having a hard time eating all the food that I can eat. Usually at the end of the day I still have one fruit and at least one grissini left that I can eat if I get hungry. I skip breakfast, if I do get hungry I have one grissini and that holds me over til lunch. At lunch I have the 100g of meat and a vegetable. At dinner I have the 100g of meat and a vegetable and a fruit. Last night I couldn't eat it all, so I had the meat and the fruit. So I am definitely not going over the 500 calories but I am eating all the meat that I am supposed too.

My blood sugar was 154 in the middle of the day yesterday. That is very good. I am taking the cinnamon in the morning and it seems to be helping. I am going to try having some vinegar before dinner to see if that helps bring my blood sugar down in the mornings. I would like to stay away from the drugs the doctor prescribes. Would be nice if I could keep the diebetes under control by natural means instead of medications.

I have noticed that it is much easier not to get cravings if I stay busy as my brother Nolan suggested. I am not hungry but I am craving things like pizza and nachos...oh and chocolate, I would really love to have some chocolate. lol

Day 7

I weigh 195.6 - My blood sugar was 218 in the AM

Yesterday went very well. Didn't eat all of my food and I was not hungry. My blood sugar was 173 in the mid afternoon and I did take some cinnamon. Since the cinnamon is working I took it today as well. I have had one grissini, was very hungry this morning and it took care of the hunger. I have not eaten anything other than that today.

I seem to be craving all kinds of foods that are not on the list. I see a commercial for something and I want it. Pizza seems to be top of the list on foods that I really really want. LOL But I have not eaten anything that is not on the approved list. I will be buying some Apple Vinegar as my brother Tim suggested for use on my salads. I am also going to try some salad dressing from Walden Farms it has no sugars, no carbs, no calories. I will see how that works with my weight loss.

Day 6

I weigh 196.2

Yesterday went very well. Wasn't hardly hungry all day. I only had a little Diet Coke and that was late in the day, no headache. Food-wise it was good too, I don't think I had the full 500 calories, didn't eat one of the fruits and 1 of the grissini's. Did the 60 ounces of water as well.

The shot this morning went very well as I didn't have to do it to myself. haha I am skipping breakfast and that seems to be going well, not really hungry yet and its almost 10 am.

My blood sugar was 209 yesterday and 223 this morning. I am having some cinnamon today, I know I said before that I would have some, but I wanted to see how being on the 500 calorie diet affected it. Since its still in the low 200's I am going to give it a try today.

Day 5

I weigh 198.0 - Blood Sugar is 214

Well, yesterday didn't go very well in the hunger department. I got really hungry around 2pm and other than a little time around dinner, was hungry all evening too. But I did good, I didn't eat anything I wasn't sposed too. Also, I only had 2 diet cokes with lime. Thats really good for me. Today I am going to try not to have any pop. If I get a headache I will make some coffee and drink that.

This morning is going well. I am a little hungry, but it's not that bad. I am going to try to wait til noon to eat lunch. Its will be some meat and I think I will have a tomatoe with it. I am trying to save the grissini's til between lunch and dinner incase I get hungry like yesterday. I am also trying to stay around 60 to 70 ounces of water.

My blood sugar yesterday was at 196 in the afternoon and today in the morning it was 214. This may seem bad, which it is, but for me it is really good. My blood sugar has very rarely gotten below 250 in the last couple of years. I am going to try some cinnamon today and see how it goes. I have been mixing the cinnamon with a little warm water and then add about a tablespoon of milk to make it go down better. Today I will try to maybe have it will a little coffee instead.
